How does laser hair removal work? The laser targets the pigment (melanin) in the hair,
Is it permanent? This is the honest part many clinics gloss over: laser provides long-term hair
Is laser hair removal safe for all skin tones? With modern technology, yes — but the device
and settings matter a great deal. Older single-wavelength lasers carried more risk for darker skin; today's systems (such as those combining Alexandrite and Nd:YAG wavelengths) can be tailored across the Fitzpatrick skin-type scale. At Endless Beauty Clinic we use medical-grade platforms suited to a range of skin types, with settings adjusted to your skin — important in Dubai, where many clients have olive, brown or deeper skin tones, or spend time in the sun. We have a dedicated article on laser for darker skin.
How many sessions will I need? Most people need a course of several sessions, spaced weeks
apart, with the exact number depending on the area, your hair and skin, and hormonal factors. Areas and timelines are covered in our sessions article, but as a rule you'll see gradual reduction across the course rather than all at once, followed by occasional maintenance.
Does it hurt, and is there downtime? Most people describe a mild snapping or warm
sensation; cooling systems make it comfortable, and sensitive areas feel more intense than legs or arms. Downtime is minimal — some redness or a "goosebump" look that settles quickly. Aftercare mainly means sun protection and avoiding heat/exfoliation briefly. More detail in our does it hurt and preparation articles.
What does it cost in Dubai? Pricing varies widely by clinic, area and package structure, so
rather than a number, it's more useful to understand what drives cost — area size, number of sessions, technology and expertise. We explain this in what affects the cost. At Endless Beauty Clinic, pricing is discussed at a personal consultation once your areas and plan are clear.
What areas can be treated? Common areas include full body, face, underarms and
bikini/Brazilian, plus legs, arms, back and chest. Treatment is popular with both women and men — see our men's guide.
